Meet Jem
Bringing over 20 years of combined European styles and Florida experience. The owner operated a five-star rated drapery making operation, achieved excellent reviews and repeated clientele in her 7 years and became known for delivering high quality workmanship to both residential and commercial markets.
Her passion for beautiful window treatments started at aged 23, a recently married college student. Jem and her husband wanted swags and tails drapery design for their home. After checking out the going prices, it seemed like an impossible dream on their low household budget. So her husband suggested that she joined up for evening classes to learn how to make them herself, and so she did. Later, she continued her training at Walsall Technical College and took further open distance learning courses with Rhodec International School of Design. Jem also worked with 2 curtain maker owner/operators in Long Island, NY and in Southwest Florida and gained valuable hands on experiences that she brought into her own operation, Curtains & Drapes by Jem.
Throughout her professional executive management career, Jem passion for decorating was never ceasing, she always had time to create beautiful designs for family, friends and her own home.
